A FARM park for disabled children in Chipping Norton is looking for an army of diggers to help with the spring planting.

Fairytale Farm, which is on the A44 just outside Chippy, needs some help digging out boarders in the farm's sensory trail so planting can start before the end of March.

Owner Nick Laister: "The planting along the sensory trail is an important part of its effectiveness, and we have been delayed by the appalling weather of December, January and February.

"Now that the weather has finally improved, we have some catching up to do."

Mr Laister said they needed some extra man power as it is difficult to get large mechanical diggers in due to the nature of the sensory trail.

"We are having to do this the old fashioned way using people power and spades," he said. "Many hands make light work."

People are invited to go along this Saturday and Sunday or Saturday, March 15 and Sunday, March 16 at 10amwith a spade, wearing suitable footwear and gardening gloves. For details call 01608 238014.
