A CONCERT to commemorate the start of the First World War is being held in Shipston.
The Shipston Town Band is performing a concert for the Shipston Branch of The Royal British Legion on Saturday, March 1 at 7.30pm in the Townsend Hall.
Among the nation's fallen, were 35 Shipston men and the concert is a tribute to them and all the fallen, a century later.
Tickets are £7 and are available from Clarke's Electricians (next to Lloyds Bank) or by calling Richard Adams on 01608 662328.
All proceeds will go towards the Legion's Poppy Appeal.
