NOMINATIONS are now open for the 2014 WellChild Awards.
The Gloucestershire-based national charity for sick children, is calling on local people to think about who they could nominate for an award at its annual event which celebrates the bravery of seriously ill children and the dedication of the people who go that extra mile to really make a difference to their lives.
Last year’s event saw winners attending the star-studded Awards ceremony at the Dorchester Hotel in London’s Park Lane where they had the chance to chat with celebrities and supporters of WellChild including Royal Patron, Prince Harry.
Nominations categories are Inspirational Child or Young Person, Most Caring Child or Young Person, Doctor, Nurse and Health Team.
In addition to the inspiring and caring child categories, WellChild would also like to hear about people who have made a real difference to seriously ill children by caring above and beyond the call of duty.
This could include outstanding health, social care or education professionals.
To nominate someone who deserves special recognition visit wellchild.org.uk or contact the charity on 0845 458 8171 to request a nomination form. The closing date for all entries is May.
