A STOW town councillor is calling for more residents to support them when a controversial planning inquiry resumes in March.
The four-day inquiry into Cotswold District Council’s (CDC) non-determination of an application to build 146 new homes in Stow, which began in the council chambers at CDC’s headquarters on January 7, was adjourned until Tuesday, March 25.
Applicant Bovis Homes lodged an appeal last October on the grounds of CDC’s non-determination of the outline plans to build on land to the east of Griffin Close, near Oddington Road.
The Planning Inspector resolved to adjourn proceedings to allow the parties time to respond to specific questions he raised regarding the calculation of the five year housing land supply figure.
But at Thursday night's meeting, town councillor Chris Turner asked for more residents to attend when it reconvenes.
"We want as many people to help back us up," he said. "We only had three or four people behind us from where we were sitting. It feels pretty lonely. We're hopefully going to put on a good show as for as standing our ground."
