HAZARDOUS driving conditions caused a number of crashes near Chipping Norton.
Police were called to the A3400 Long Compton towards Great Rollright at about 8.20am after two separate crashes were reported on the same stretch of road.
A silver Vauxhall Vectra, a silver Toyota Yaris, a Blue Vauxhall Polo and a silver Ford Fiesta were involved in crashes due to icy conditions which blocked the road in one direction.
The driver of the Ford Fiesta suffered a hand injury and was assessed by a paramedic.
Police are reporting numerous cases of vehicles skidding and gritters have been sent to the scene to ease the situation.
A spokesman for Warwickshire police said: "There will be an investigation into the circumstances but it looks like the weather has been a factor.
"Any witness to the collision should call police on 101."
