MORE than 1,000 tins and other food items were donated by kind-hearted shoppers at Morrisons supermarket in Evesham.
The Rotary Club of Evesham carried out the collection to support local charity Caring Hands.
Rotarian Jeremy Knight said: “We were overwhelmed by the support from those shopping and are delighted that the food will go to Caring Hands, which will distribute it to local food banks. The Rotary Club would like to thank Morrisons for allowing us to be at their store and a huge thank-you to the generous and supportive shoppers.”
