A MAN has been airlifted to hospital after falling from his horse near Shipston.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the incident in Whichford at about 2.45pm this afternoon.
A rapid response vehicle, two community first responders and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance were dispatched the scene.
A rapid response vehicle from South Central Ambulance Service was also in attendance.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Crews were called to reports of a man who had fallen from his horse.
"It was reported that the horse had also rolled over the man during the incident.
“The rider was treated for a back injury at the scene. He was given pain relief and fully immobilised before being airlifted to University Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire.”
