A CONTROVERSIAL planning inquiry into Cotswold District Council’s (CDC) non-determination of an application to build 146 new homes in Stow has been adjourned after one day.

The four-day inquiry, which began in the council chambers at CDC’s headquarters on Tuesday has been adjourned until Tuesday, March 25.

As previously reported, applicant Bovis Homes lodged an appeal last October on the grounds of CDC’s non-determination of the outline plans to build on land to the east of Griffin Close, near Oddington Road.

However yesterday, the Planning Inspector resolved to adjourn proceedings to allow the parties time to respond to specific questions he raised regarding the calculation of the five year housing land supply figure.

Members of the public will be able to attend the Inquiry when it reconvenes in March.
