Gloucestershire Airport is holding a Holiday, Travel and Leisure weekend this month to showcase what Staverton can offer.

The County’s airport is home to around 170 aircraft, ranging from single seat microlights to state-of-the-art executive jets. It handles 74 000 flights per year.

Passenger flights are available to the Isle of Man, Belfast and Jersey with flights provided by Citywing.

ATOL-bonded tour operator OSET Holidays will also be available to offer accommodation and holiday packages at these destinations. Visitors will also get to see first hand the free parking yards from the Terminal Building.

Business Development Manager, Kim Davenport said: - “Our passenger flights have been successful because we offer a service that makes travelling through an airport a relaxed experience, with no queues and, most importantly, a smile!”

There’s also a wide range of other activities available at the Airport. For those looking for a new hobby or flight experience, the Airport can offer hot air ballooning, helicopter sightseeing, microlights, pleasure and vintage flights as well as aerobatics and even wing-walking experiences. Kim added: -“Our operators will have a range of aircraft on display and will be on hand to tell you all about the services they offer. Whether it’s a once in a lifetime gift for that special birthday of anniversary, or a new challenge for 2014, trial lessons and learning to fly are much more affordable than people may think.”

The event will take place at the Airport’s Terminal building from 11am to 4pm on the weekend of 18th & 19th January.
