PRAISE was heaped on students who performed at the annual Chipping Norton School carol concert.
Residents and parents braved the elements and turned out in force to the musical spectacular at St Mary’s Church on December 18.
The school, which has a specialist status as both a Performing Arts College and a Science College, had been rehearsing pieces for the concert since the end of October.
More than 100 students and staff performed a diverse selection of music ranging from traditional carols to modern pop.
Highlights included White Christmas performed by the Junior and Senior choir with solos by Will Heppell and Esther Mead; Chris de Burgh’s A Spaceman came Travelling sung by Sam Morton and Ava Maria sung by Josie Lovick and Daisy Hal.
Parent Frances Morton said: “Congratulations to you all for an amazing service.
The standard of singing from the children was excellent. I am so pleased my son attends the school. I can’t praise you all enough.”
