LITTLE stars from a nursery near Shipston performed a traditional nativity play to a packed house last week.
Youngsters from the pre-school class at Winchcombe Farm Day Nursery, in Upper Tysoe, had been rehearsing carols and their lines for the spectacular production since early November.
Rachel Giorgio, Winchcombe Farm Day Nursery manager, said there had been so much demand for tickets for the show, the play was performed twice over a couple of days.
“We turned our preschool room into a stable and parents were invited to sit on bales of hay during the show, rather than chairs and were served mince pies and non-alcoholic mulled wine,” she said.
“The children really had great fun preparing and performing the show and did extremely well, as it was the first time many of them had ever been on stage.”
