FIFTY people turned out to Paxford Village Hall for the latest defibrillator demonstration evening.
Blockley Parish Council welcomed residents to the event led by two trainers from the Community Heartbeat Trust who provided the new defibrillator which has been installed in the red telephone box outside the village hall.
Melanie and Keith Bent, of Paxfords Ltd, donated more than £1,200 for the new piece of equipment from their fund-raising evening with Chipping Campden men’s keep fit and their wives. Mrs Bent, who has suffered a heart attack, said that she was delighted to be part of the project as the villages are some way from a hospital and knew from personal experience “time being of the essence”.
