BADSEY youngsters have taken part in a community project to plant trees.
Badsey First School eco-club joined the Badsey Scouts to plant the trees as part of a scheme devised by the Woodland Trust to increase the number of native trees planted throughout the country.
Badsey Parish Council made land available on the recreation ground where 105 saplings were planted, including hazel, birch, mountain ash, hawthorn and wild cherry.
The children said they were looking forward to telling their own children that they had planted the trees in the future.
