YOUNGSTERS got a treat at Bengeworth Pre-School when they were visited by an unusual guest.
A hedgehog, which they named Spudge, paid the children a visit from the Vale Wildlife Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre, in Beckford, after they had been learning about hibernation.
They were delighted to meet a real hedgehog and set about making models of him from salt dough, painting his picture and creating habitats for creatures.
Manager Emma Blyth, thanked Kim White, from the centre, for bringing the animals to the centre.
She said: “The children were able to name the hedgehog and he is now known as Spudge. The children were thrilled and I feel this was an amazing experience for the children and my thanks go to Kim for her time and visit.”
