CHILDREN at Evesham Nursery School reaped the rewards of months of hard work when they harvested their own pumpkins. The youngsters planted pumpkin seeds in July and have since been looking after them and watching them grow.
And the seasonal squash have been turned into scary spiders and pumpkin soup in time for Halloween. The children have also been growing other vegetables in their edible garden, including runner beans, potatoes, redcurrants, apples and radishes, which they eat at snack time. They will also enjoy roasting some tasty treats on bonfire night as part of their forest school.
