Shipston MP appointed to No 10 policy board
SHIPSTON MP Nadhim Zahawi said he was “honoured” to be appointed to the Prime Minister’s No 10 Policy Board.
Mr Zahawi has been appointed to the body of policy makers with responsibility for business innovation and skills.
The board is responsible for developing policy and monitoring its implementation across government and supports the work of the No 10 Policy Unit and the 1922 policy committees.
Following the recent reshuffle, the policy board now consists of 10 backbench MPs Jake Berry, Alun Cairns, Nick Gibb, Margot James, Andrea Leadsom, Peter Lilley, Priti Patel, Chris Skidmore, Paul Uppal and Mr Zahawi.
He said: “I look forward to working with my colleagues on developing and implementing policy that will support the fantastic businesses of Stratford and the rest of the country.
"As part of my new role I want to make sure I am listening to businesses, and that in government we're delivering what they want.”
