Fancy a go in my crane?
10:00am Thursday 10th October 2013 in News
TWO brothers stepped in to lend a hand to workmen replacing Evesham’s Abbey Bridge on Saturday.
Five-year-old Russell Taylor and 18-month-old Lewis were invited by contractors Hochtief, to sit in the cranes after they went along to have a look at the huge machinery.
They were even given their own hard hats as they sat in a crane.
Mum Suzy Taylor said: “I asked one of the guys if they were going to be lifting anything soon and they said it would be half an hour but would we like to sit the boys in the crane?
“Russell was giggling and thought it was amazing.
They put the hard hat on him and he said ‘wow’.
“I want to say a big thank you to the workmen. The boys will be able to look back when the bridge has been finished and say they were there.”
Russell said: “It was really quite fun.”
