Pop-up Moreton is back in town
AFTER its successful launch earlier this year, Pop-Up Moreton is returning to the Cotswolds – and the hunt is on for new tenants.
The revived pop-up shop in Old Market Way is set to reopen this month but will be slightly different from the original version.
A single tenant will occupy the shop for a full calendar month and it could be a group of people, such as a loose affiliation of artists or just one person or brand.
The idea behind the shop is to offer new or small companies within a 20-mile radius of Moreton an opportunity to experience a town centre retail space and raise the profile of their business.
Geoffrey Berger, managing director of Old Market Way, said: “Pop-Up Moreton was such a success earlier in the year, we’ve decided to do it all again.
"I hope the next few months, with key trading periods around Halloween, Bonfire Night, the Moreton Christmas Market and the lead-up to Christmas itself, will provide a buoyant time in which to trade.”
Monthly rentals will start from £450 and include insurance and Wifi access.
Kit Havelock-Davies, chairman of Moreton Business Association, welcomed the return of the pop-up shop.
“We’re delighted,” he said.
“It helps to give more opportunities to expand the retail diversity in Moreton and that’s important at the moment and gives people a good opportunity to test the market.
"We’re pleased the initiative is going forward.”
Anyone interested in securing a month’s tenancy in Pop-Up Moreton should complete the form on the Old Market Way website.
