Hear about Moreton Area Centre's work on the airwaves
2:20pm Thursday 26th September 2013 in News
MORETON is preparing to broadcast to the whole of Gloucestershire tomorrow morning.
Staff at Moreton Area Centre (MAC) will be appearing on BBC Radio Gloucestershire tomorrow to talk about their work and the role they play in the community.
BBC Radio Gloucestershire will be broadcasting directly from Moreton between 9am-12noon and will be featuring the Cotswold District Council’s area office.
The MAC offers an information service for all council and community enquiries. It also works with public and voluntary sector organisations to co-ordinate community services and projects.
The staff provide a visitor information service and recently won Cotswold Tourism’s Visitor Provider of the Year gold award.
MAC manager Sally Graff said she was pleased that the BBC was due to come to the centre: “This is a great opportunity for us to provide more information about the services we offer to both residents and visitors, and the events we help promote, including our recent appearance at the recent NEC Group Leisure Travel Trade show to showcase the Cotswolds. We hope that people popping in and out of the MAC on 27 September will be able to share their experiences and enhance the programme.”
Radio Gloucestershire will also be interviewing business representatives from Moreton, town and district councillors, and people in the street.
