Thomas rolls into Cotswolds
7:00am Saturday 21st September 2013 in News
A CHEEKY blue tank engine is set to take over the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway this weekend.
Thomas the Tank Engine – created of the late Rev W Awdry – will be up to his antics on the heritage railway on Saturday and Sunday.
There will be an intensive service of trains between Cheltenham and Toddington over the weekend along with a London Routemaster Bus.
There will be plenty of other attractions to enjoy including face painting, the ‘imagination station’ and Punch & Judy.
Andy Smith, organiser of Day out with Thomas, said: “Visitors can see many of the amazing Thomas and Friends stories being acted out for real.
“The Fat Controller will be keeping a close eye on Thomas and his friends during the weekend to make sure they don’t get into any mischief. And when Thomas or one of his friends runs short of water, you can even help fill his tanks.”
Tickets cots £18 for adults and £10 for children. The first train departs from Cheltenham Racecourse at 9.45am.
