OUTGOING Evesham mayor Robert Raphael has attended his final fundraising event of the year at the town’s Regal Cinema.
The St George’s Day concert held at the popular Port Street venue on Tuesday, April 23, was the last chance for councillor Raphael to raise money for his charities for the year - Wallace House Community Centre and Evesham Volunteers.
The event, which saw the world premiere of film Evesham Through the Seasons, a performance of the Last Night of the Proms by the Avonbank Brassband and a fish and chip supper, raised more than £2,000 and was attended by 238 people.
Coun Raphael said: “It was a super night and the Regal excelled themselves. There was a fun feeling and a great atmosphere.”
