RAINBOWS from Evesham have been busy planting 10 new trees at the community orchard in Church Lench.
The rowan and cherry trees were planted by girls aged between five and seven from the First Evesham Rainbows as part of their Together We Can badge.
The trees were donated by Sainsbury’s as part of their sponsorship of the 2012 Olympic games.
Janet Coakley runs the unit. She said: “The Rainbows had a great time planting the trees and learning what they need to grow. They all enjoyed getting muddy too.”
The group meets on a Tuesday evening between 6pm and 7pm in Evesham town centre. Anyone who would like their child to join can call Janet on 07961 918156
