THREE charities have received a donation of £1,000 from the North Cotswold Rotary Club.
Kate’s Home Nursing, Home-Start Cotswolds and the Sam Pilcher Trust were each presented with a cheque last month by club president Bob Hadley.
He said: “We chose these three local charities because they each do so much to help vulnerable families, those who are sick and in need of nursing care, or whose children have cancer.
“We have been very impressed by their work in the community, and each of these wonderful organisations is based here in the north Cotswolds.”
The previous week the club also presented Christopher Grose of SSAFA with a cheque for £1,100 from the proceeds of charity band concerts given by Army and Air Force bands over the last couple of years.
“Being at the heart of our community is what rotary is all about,” said Mr Hadley.
