IT may still feel more like winter, but spring has finally sprung at Batsford Arboretum which has been covered in a carpet of daffodils just in time for Easter.

Despite the return of the cold snap, the beautiful yellow flowers are peeking through and expected to be at their best within the next week.

Head gardener Matt Hall said: “They are a little bit slower due to the colder weather but we will have a better display when they come out. It should be perfect for Easter. There will be plenty of daffodils in flower. Right through to early May onwards is a really good time here.”
