Holy Redeemer Catholic Primary School, Pershore
For Comic Relief this year pupils at Holy Redeemer had a head-to-head battle of the classes bake-off.
Pupils and parents baked away furiously on Wednesday evening, bringing their cakes into school on Thursday to sell at an after-school cake sale.
Each class competed to see who could sell the most cakes and raise the most money for Comic Relief.
On Friday we all came to school dressed in red and wearing odd shoes, bringing a donation for Comic Relief.
All the money raised by each class for the bake-off and odd shoe day was added up and the class that had raised the most money got to pour baked beans all over Mr Adams (class 2 teacher).
It was a hotly contested competition, but class 5 just beat class 2 to it and each pupil (and Mrs Williams their teacher) got a tin of beans each with which to do the dastardly deed.
The condemned man entered the hall to a slow drum beat, where a very excited group of children and parents (who had paid and extra £1 to witness the event) were waiting.
Over all £579 was raised and a good time was had by all…well apart from Mr Adams, who is still wiping beans out of his hair!
