FIREFIGHTERS had a busy night in the Cotswolds with calls to two fires inanhour.

A crew from Moreton was called at 8.20pm on Tuesday last week to Evenlode Road, Moreton, after reports of a shed fire.

On arrival they found two allotment sheds well alight and spent more than an hour tackling the blaze.

The fire is thought to have been started deliberately and police are investigating.

Meanwhile, firefighters from Stow were called at 9.13pm to a property in Clapton Road, near Bourton, to reports of a chimneyfire.

Crews used chimney rods and a stirrup pump to extinguish the fire. They left after 50 minutes.
