Four houses broken into in one night
FOUR houses have been targeted in Moreton and Condicote in a nine-hour burglary spree.
Police believe the four break-ins, which happened between 10pm on February 17 and 7am on February 18, could be linked as it appears the items stolen were similar in each one.
The first incident happened between 10pm on February 17 and 6am on February 18 in Condicote.
Thieves entered through a window and took a Samsung flat-screen TV and DVD player.
A second house was broken into on Fosseway Avenue, Moreton, between midnight and 7am on February 18.
Thieves got into the house through a back door and took an LG mobile phone, an Acer laptop, £50 in cash and a handful of smaller items.
The third incident happened again on Fosseway Avenue between midnight and 7.35am the same day.
An LG LED TV, Acer laptop, a Sony Alpha digital camera, a Sony PS3 and a Blackberry mobile phone were stolen.
Meanwhile, thieves tried to get into another house in Condicote between 4.15am and 4.30am but were disturbed by a dog.
Police Sergeant Richard Smith said “It is quite unusual for our area to experience at spate of burglaries like this, which is why we are taking it so seriously. We would appeal to anyone who may be able to help to come forward and remind residents to be extra-vigilant with regards to home safety.”
Anyone with information can call police on 101 quoting incident 42 of February 18.
