ABOUT 60 people enjoyed a fun workout class while raising hundreds for a worthy cause.
E Hill and Son Funeral Directors of Pershore organised the Zumbathon, which combines Latin and international music with an effective workout system, at Pershore Leisure Centre, King George’s Way.
As well as working up a sweat, they were able to raise £675.50 for St Richard’s Hospice through entry charges and a raffle of items donated by local businesses.
Paula Hill, a business patron for the charity, said: “It was really good fun.
We had some people who had done it before and of other people who came to give it a go.”
She added the leisure centre allowed them to use the venue for free and Zumba instructor Jo Gaze also gave her services without charge.
