Best of British at PopUp Moreton

IT WILL be the best of British for the next fortnight in PopUp Moreton which is welcoming three new tenants.

Visitors to the pop-up shop, in Old Market Way, will find three new tenants in the shop for the next two weeks.

From Friday, Chipping Norton-based Aukward will be offering iPad cases, designed and made by hand in the UK, and bound using traditional bookbinding methods.

Joining them will be Provenance Reuseful, an eco/ethical company based in Draycott, near Blockley, which designs and produces high quality kitchen and tableware.

Meanwhile, Bob Fryer, who lives in Winchcombe, will be selling cards and prints of his images in the hope of opening his own retail outlet in the future.

He frequently takes striking photographs of the Cotswold landscape that have already been used in several books and on tourist websites.

Moreton is first place outside of London to host a pop-up shop which is part of the national enterprise campaign StartUp Britain, which ran a series of Pop-Up Shops in London late last year.

The scheme offers young companies an opportunity to trial their products in a cost-effective retail environment.

- The shop was opened by retail guru George Davies on February 1.
