On-call firefighters are sought
EXTRA on-call firefighters are sought to work at two stations in the Cotswolds.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service is holding an awareness session at Broadway Fire Station, Keytes Lane, on Saturday, March 9 from 2pm for those interested in taking up a role in Pebworth or Broadway.
Applicants must live or work within five minutes of the stations, be aged 18 or over and will receive full training.
Station Commander Mark Strutt said: “It’s a chance to get more information on the requirements of the role and the application process, and also to chat face-to-face with firefighters already working on the retained duty system.”
