A NEW toy library will help keep children entertained while driving costs down for families.

The venture at Evesham Adventure Playground, Woodlands, will allow families to update their child’s toy selection by borrowing items rather than forking out for new items in return for an annual membership fee.

A series of bi-monthly stay and play sessions is another option for having fun, starting on Friday, March 1, between 9.30am and 11.30am.

Kath Jones, chairman of the Evesham Adventure Playground Association, said: “This new venture will provide parents and children with a cost-effective way to access lots of different toys and equipment.”

The toy library is also open to local organisations, so they can access larger pieces of sporting equipment and themed resource boxes.

The association is also looking for donations of toys.
