CHIPPING Campden’s new Scuttlebrook Queen has been crowned following a party at the Lygon Arms.
Katie Pritchard, a 14-year-old pupil at Chipping Campden School, beat off stiff competition from three other girls to claim the title.
Her attendants are Sophie Proud, seven, Elizabeth Smith, eight, both of St Catharine’s Primary School, and twins Eve and Faith Thomas Taylor, both eight, who are pupils at St James CofE Primary School.
The page is William Jeal, nine, who attends St Catharine’s Primary School.
Angie Clarkson, who has been making dresses for the youngsters for the last eight years, said she was glad Katie had been chosen.
“It was the second time she had gone in for it,” she said. “I’m so pleased she got it. It was difficult to choose this year. They all spoke very nicely.”
Katie and her entourage will parade through the town at the Scuttlebrook Wake on Saturday, June 1.
