FIVE people were injured in a four-vehicle crash on the A429 near Shipston on Tuesday morning at about 9.40am.
FIVE people were injured in a four-vehicle crash on a notorious road near Shipston.
It occurred at the junction of the A429 and Darlingscote Road at about 9.40am on Tuesday involving a silver Dodge Journey MPV, a blue Jaguar XF, a red Ford Fiesta and a lorry. The driver of the Fiesta, a man in his 60s, was trapped in the car for an hour before he was cut from the wreckage by firefighters.
He was taken to hospital by air ambulance with multiple injuries.
The driver of a car found on its side in a ditch, a man in his 40s, received treatment for serious chest injuries and was also taken to hospital.
Three people travelling in the third car received treatment at the scene for minor injuries.
