THE first popup shop to open outside of London has launched in the Cotswolds.

Popup Moreton was opened today by fashion guru George Davies, famous for his work at Next, George at ASDA and Per Una.

Mr Davies cut the ribbon and officially opened the new shop which will house the first three tenants Dating Fairy Godmother Lynette Berry, Rosablue’s Penny Menato and Julia Lucas of Objets d’Amour in the run up to Valentine's Day.

They will be staying in the one-stop love shop for two weeks in Old Market Way, until Thursday February 14.

PopUp Moreton is part of a national enterprise, Startup Britain, which ran a series of pop-up shops in London last year.

Sue Heady, who organised Popup Moreton with Adam Wood, said: "I think it's something new for people to come into Moreton.

"It's a new shop but the tenants don't have to make a huge investment. Hopefully more people will come into Moreton, stop and walk around and have a coffee.

"It's the first official popup outside London."
