No Cotswold waste collections today
9:54am Friday 18th January 2013 in News By Freya Leng
COTSWOLD District Council's waste contractor, Ubico Ltd, is unable to make scheduled collections today due to the blizzard conditions.
Ubico officials are currently reviewing operations for the next few days.
If they are able to resume normal collections on Monday they will provide a special catch-up collection for residents who were missed today.
This means that they may not be able to make all of the collections scheduled for Mondy until Tuesday.
If this should occur, residents should leave their waste and recycling at the kerb until it is collected on Tuesday.
There may be a backlog during the rest of next week but the council estimates it will be able to catch up by the close of operations on Friday providing there are no further disruptions.
If the bad weather persists, further details about revised collections will be announced in updates on cotswold.gov.uk.

Cotswold Leisure facilities are open but may close early if conditions deteriorate.
However, Cotswold Leisure Bourton is closing at midday today due to the deteriorating weather conditions.
We will also be updating information about the availability of our leisure centres at www.cotswold.gov.uk on a regular basis.
Moreton Area Centre remain open for business as usual.
