11:00am Monday 21st January 2013 in News
RUNNERS and fund-raisers and being invited to warm up and join this year’s Peopleton run.
The annual Scenic Six run around the village near Pershore takes place on April 7 and raises funds for St Richard’s Hospice, Worcester.
The event is named after the six-mile multi-terrain route, which takes place around the village’s lanes, fields and footpaths.
For those who would like a less strenuous day out there is an alternative two-mile fun run, jog or walk around the village.
Lizzie Brazier, St Richard’s Hospice community fund-raiser, said: “This is a great family event and we all find strength to run into the village hall afterwards to eat delicious cake made by local WI members. A welcome treat after a jog around the fields.”
Entering the run costs £9 for affiliated club members, or £11 for those unattached and an entry fee of £3. To register, download the entry form from strichards.org.uk/events.
