ACTRESS: Kate O’Mara, whose son was found hanged in a garage
THE son of the actress Kate O’Mara was found hanged in a garage in Long Marston, near Bidford-on-Avon, on New Year’s Eve.
Dickon O’Mara, aged 49, was reported to have been found dead by a neighbour at the house where he lived with his mother.
Warwickshire Police confirmed officers were called after the body of a man was found in a garage in Long Marston at 3.40pm on December 31. The death is not being treated as suspicious.
An inquest was opened and adjourned last Thursday by the county coroner.
Villagers were said to be in shock at the news, which was described as a “tragic situation” by David Marcuse, a warden at the village’s St James Church.
Kate O’Mara, who is best known for her role as Caress Morell, the scheming sister of Joan Collins’ Alexis Colby in Dynasty, is also known for playing other villains such as the Rani in Doctor Who and Laura Wilde in Howard’s Way.
