CHIPPING Campden’s library is closing for three days while improvements are carried out.

The library is having a self service kiosk installed and will allow customers to borrow, renew and return items, check reservations and pay charges without waiting for a member of staff to assist them.

It will be closed on Wednesday, January 16 and will re-open on Saturday, January 19.

The library will also be getting a self-service computer so customers can make bookings and reserve books and other stock without having to queue at the counter.

These changes are part of Gloucestershire County Council's strategy to improve access to library services through technology.

During the closure, books and other items can be returned to any other Gloucestershire Library or renewed via the customer contact centre 0845 230 5420 or online at gloucestershire.gov.uk/libraries.
