Long Compton step closer to neighbourhood plan
4:20pm Friday 21st December 2012 in News By Freya Leng
A COTSWOLD village near Moreton is a step closer to a Neighbourhood Plan after submitting an application to Stratford District Council (SDC).
Long Compton Parish Council has submitted proposals and is now asking for comments from members of the community before SDC makes a decision.
If the designation of a neighbourhood area is agreed, local people can put together a neighbourhood plan, setting out how they would like the area to develop in the future.
Under the Localism Act, residents, businesses and parish and town councillors are all encouraged to get involved in creating the plan.
To view the application and map visit stratford.gov.uk/nplan or the district council’s offices in Church Street, Stratford, during office hours or at Stratford and Shipston libraries.
The deadline for the consultation is 5pm on Friday, February 15 and comments can be made online, by emailing planning.policy@stratford-dc.gov.uk or by writing to Planning Policy, Stratford District Council, Elizabeth House, Church Street, Stratford, CV37 6HX.
