A COTSWOLD woman has died following a crash near Cheltenham.

The collision happened at about 2.15pm yesterday on the B4632 Cleeve Hill in Cheltenham when a grey Vauxhall Astra, travelling towards Winchcombe, left the road and collided with a wooden fence, a car port and a parked vehicle.

An 87-year-old woman from Winchcombe, who was a passenger in the Astra, died at the scene while the driver, an 88-year-old man from Winchcombe, was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with minor injuries.

He has since been released from hospital.

Witnesses to the collision should contact Gloucestershire Police on 101, quoting incident number 259 of December 9.
