AN electrical sub-station was almost completely destroyed following a fire near Chipping Campden.
Fire fighters were called at about 1.15pm yesterday to Colin Lane, Willersey, after an explosion.
Crews from Chipping Campden and Evesham attended and found the building, which was 10m x 4m, had exploded causing 75 per cent of it to be damaged by fire.
The crews did not have to use any fire fighting equipment but used ventilation fans to remove smoke. They then handed the incident over to the local utility company.
Fire crews were on scene for about 40 minutes.
