A NEW business networking group in Chipping Campden, the Campden Business Forum, held its launch meeting in the town’s Cotswold House Hotel.

The not-for-profit group’s first meeting was attended by 90 business people.

There were two presentations – one by Sir John Armitt, the chairman of the Olympic Delivery Authority, who revealed some of the secrets of the event’s success, and another by Coun Chris Roberts, of Fairford and Lechlade Business Club.

Membership of the forum is open to anyone who has a business interest in the town or surrounding area. It will host bi-monthly meetings, giving members the opportunity to share information, trade with each other and explore ways in which they can encourage new businesses to the town. The next meeting is on February 5 at Chipping Campden School.
