Gloucester Cathedral will be holding a special Evensong at 3pm on Sunday to mark World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims.

This day was initiated in 1993 by RoadPeace, the national charity for road crash victims, and adopted by the United Nations in 2005 At the service people will be invited to hand in the oak leaf, given to them at the start of the service, along with the names of those people wish to be remembered. The names will be commemorated during the Prayers of Intercession before the oak leaf is placed on the Alter and blessed.
