YOUR Evesham Journal is today launching a readers’ photo competition, with monthly prizes up for grabs and the winning pictures featured in a town calendar.

We have teamed up with Evesham Market Town Partnership for the competition, which asks readers to send in photos that sum up what you love about Evesham. These could be pictures of anything, from the town’s festivals, markets or wildlife, to a favourite image of the park, riverside or town landmark.

One short-listed picture will be featured in your Journal each week and each month a winning photo will be selected by us.

Each monthly winner will claim a prize from an Evesham business and will also be included in a professionally produced 2014 calendar, which will go on sale next Christmas.

The first monthly prize will be a £25 gift voucher from leading independent clothing retailer Pride, in Vine Street.

Journal editor Peter John said: “We regularly receive fantastic photos from our readers and this is a unique opportunity to have these showcased in an official town calendar.

“So keep your eyes open and camera handy for your chance to enter.”

Evesham Market Town Partnership Manager Shawn Riley added: “We hope the competition will celebrate everything that local people love about the town. It could be a striking image of a historic building or street scene, or a favourite picture of birds in the park or of the town in bloom.

“No photo subject is too big or small to enter – as long as it relates to Evesham it will be considered.

“It will be great to see your views of Evesham so good luck to everyone who enters!”

Simply send in your photographs to photo@evesham journal.co.uk for your chance to win a £25 gift voucher from Evesham fashion retailer Pride and to be included in a 2014 town calendar.

A selection of other entries can also be seen on our website
