SERVICES of Remembrance will be held across the Cotswolds this weekend.

A civic service will be held on Sunday in St James’ Church, Chipping Campden, at 9.45am followed by a procession to the war memorial where a service will take place at 10.45am with a twominute silence at 11am.

Those attending Chipping Norton’s service on Sunday at St Mary’s Church should be seated by 10.40am for the arrival of mayor Martin Jarratt and guests at 10.45am. After the service there will be a parade to the town hall for the mayor’s salute.

There will also be a two-minute silence at 11am at the war memorial at the bottom of London Road on Saturday.

In Winchcombe, Army cadets and RBL veterans will parade from the fire station to the war memorial at Abbey Terrace for a service of remembrance at 10.30am. The special guest will be Colonel Jean Claude Hamel.

Moreton’s Remembrance parade and service will take place at the war memorial at 10.50am.

Anyone wishing to participate in the parade should muster at Moreton Fire Station, Parkers Lane, at 10.15am.

Members of Stow’s Royal British Legion will march from the Square at 10.30am to a Remembrance service in St Edward’s Church. Following the service, refreshments will be served at the Legion Club. All those wishing to parade should meet at 10am.

Shipston’s Remembrance Day parade will gather at 10am in the Square before marching from the High Street to St Edmund’s Church for a service at 10.30am.

The parade in Bourtonon- the-Water will meet at 10.30am at the RBL in Lansdowne Road, and will march to the war memorial for a service and laying of wreaths at 10.45am. A service will follow at St Lawrence’s Church.
