A WOMAN aged in her 60s from Evesham died on Tuesday after a collision between her car and a lorry.

The crash happened at just after 10am on the B4084 Pershore to Evesham road at the junction for Cropthorne.

The woman, who lived in Evesham and had not been named at time of going to press, died when a black MAN lorry travelling towards Evesham was in collision with the blue Toyota Yaris she was driving.

An ambulance took the woman to Worcestershire Royal Hospital but she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

The driver of the lorry, a man in his 30s from Pershore, was uninjured. Police are now appealing for witnesses.

PC Lee Bluck said: “Our thoughts are with the woman’s family and friends at this sad time.

“As with all fatal collisions, an investigation will take place to establish the cause of the crash.

“As part of the inquiry, it is vital we speak to any witnesses or anyone with information, including drivers who may have seen either of the vehicles involved prior to the collision.”
