THE Evesham Tree of Light Appeal 2012 is now under way, giving people the chance to remember a loved one at Christmas.

Evesham Rotary Club is hoping for another record-breaking year of support for Vale charities through donations made possible through the Tree of Light. The strings of lights have been tested and are ready for installation on the tree at Workman Bridge, Evesham, later in November.

The switch-on will be take place on Thursday, December 6.

Members of the public are encouraged to remember a loved one this festive season by donating to the appeal which will benefit charities with a focus on young people and people with disabilities this year.
