Support the Trees of Light

ORGANISERS of the North Cotswold Rotary Club’s Trees of Light are hoping to once again raise money for good causes.

Now in its 11th year, the Trees of Light give people the opportunity to remember loved ones by giving a minimum £5 donation in return for a card with the name of the person remembered.

The names are then displayed at Hartwells, in Bourton, Stow Pharmacy and Age Concern, in Moreton, for the whole of December.

Last year £2,500 was raised for charities including Guide Dogs for the blind in the North Cotswolds and the Rotary Club Foundation.

Money from the Tree of Light has also been used to support many ventures in the local community and overseas.

Organiser Rotarian Phil Randall said: “Last year we raised a magnificent £2,500 from the Trees of Light and the special remembrances have done so much good work that I hope we can continue to build on that success.”

Application forms are available at any of the three centres or by calling Roger Formby on 01451 830439 or Phil Randall on 01608 663390.
