Gloucestershire businesses are also confident about the future, according to a survey by the Local Enterprise Partnership.
Earlier this month the LEP produced a new Quarterly Business Confidence Survey of more than 600 Gloucestershire businesses.
Among the key findings: Overall results are positive, reflecting the national GDP figures.
57% of business reported an improved outlook for business in the last quarter – and 59% expect to see an improvement in the next quarter.
52% of businesses had recruited in the period, whilst 59% are at least considering employment in the next quarter.
20% of respondents reported major investment and 12% were planning significant capital investment in the next quarter. Many more businesses are planning at least lower level investment.
