BAT’LL DO NICELY: Louis Bacon, aged four, tries his hand at the Bird Myths and Legends quiz at Birdland in Bourton-on-the-Water.
VISITORS to Birdland have been letting their imagination fly away with them during a special Halloween half-term event.
The attraction in Bourton is hosting Bird Myths and Legends until Sunday, November 4.
There are quiz trails to follow and feeding displays throughout the holidays along with a series of talks including why owls are considered to be so wise and where the legend of the phoenix came from.
Manager Simon Blackwell said: “Birds have played a huge part in the myths and legends of every culture since the dawn of history and even today they still feature strongly in popular fiction from Hogwarts’ famous owlery to the mocking jay bird in The Hunger Games.
“We hope this event will provide a fun and entertaining introduction to the fascinating world of birds.”
Birdland is open daily from 10am. For details, visit birdland.co.uk or call 01451 820480.
